Some people believe it is critical to support the development of high-speed train lines connecting cities in many countries, whereas others believe the fund should be utilised to upgrade current public transportation infrastructure.
To begin with, the necessity of metro trains is foremost to connect various regions in a country. The states are co-dependent and for smooth trade between them, people use railway connections. Furthermore, rail travel offers faster and cheaper means of travel and transport. The development of electric trains has given room for reduction of usage of natural fuel. For instance, solar and magnetic energy is being used to facilitate power to metro trains. This is an asset to the economy of a nation as there will be no natural gas consumption once the rail lines are established.
On the other hand, public transportation facilitates people to travel within the city to reach their workplaces. Local buses and cabs have enveloped the busy roads instead of metro trains. Public transport is the main commuting mode for many individuals in their day-to-day life. For a better travel experience and to reduce the risk of accidents, roads should be reconstructed. While local and personal vehicles are easier to avail, they have created a greater carbon footprint. Therefore, use of electric vehicles should be encouraged by the government.
In conclusion, I believe that trains will make intercity travel more efficient and faster while betterment of local conveyance will allow people to commute to their workplaces and educational institutes with much lesser hassle. Accordingly, I think it is imperative to develop both means of transportation for an imperishable future.
