Population all around the world is growing rapidly and waste management is a major area to work on. Several people believe that waste recycling can be encouraged by making it a legal obligation. I believe implementing regulations to follow recycling methods and limit those rules to not hurt the freewill of an individual
A large section of population dumps their household waste in and around their neighbourhood. Rubbish bins are commonly seen overfilled with waste and people continue to add to that by littering around them. Although populace is aware that littering is prohibited, they still proceed to do so. Piled up garbage in landfills is posing as a risk and might cause a breakout of diseases. This problem can be mitigated by practicing recycling regularly. For instance, dividing the rubbish into dry and wet waste and adopting a reuse system to reduce overall scrap.
A law regulating recycling as a legal requirement would assure proper and definite acceptance of recycling methods. While some people feel it is an individual responsibility to abide by such policies, others practice them if there is a law. However, enough resources like recycling units to convert waste into gas that can be used in houses should be placed by the government. Therefore, the government needs to place recycling depots and educate people on how to use them. In addition, awareness is to be created among everyone about the benefits of adequate waste management.
In conclusion, passing a law to follow recycling as a legal responsibility will most positively make sure that people are adopting this practice. I think creating awareness about future prospects of good waste management helps as much as regulating it.
