I am writing this letter to express my interest in the part-time volunteer job at your museum. I am a student majoring in History and I have an interest in discovering and maintaining ancient artefacts. This job would give me the exposure I need for a career in archeology. Furthermore, it would be an honor for me to work in such a renowned museum.
As for my qualifications, I have commendable knowledge of the history and art pieces exhibited in your museum. I have also worked at Smithsonian as a summer intern this year. I have excellent communication skills and can explain intricate details of relics with ease to the visitors.
I think I’m perfectly suitable for this position based on my experience. I will be available at the museum everyday at 4 pm after I return from my classes. I hope you will consider me for this position.
