Being a technology enthusiast, I am particularly interested in people who influence the world of digital business. One such person is Jeff Bezos, the founder of tech giant Amazon who is an inspiration to many people including me.
I use Amazon website regularly to buy household products and at some point, I found several other services that the company offered appealing. I searched online on how the company was started and who was the key person in its development and that led me to Jeff Bezos. The story of how he created a billion-dollar company that started out as just an online bookshop which he founded in his garage is inciting.
He started the company as an online bookstore and gradually expanded to a variety of e-commerce services which now include video streaming services and cloud computing. He is currently the second wealthiest man in the world running the world’s largest online company and is frequently covered in news channels for his innovations. He now diversified the company into artificial intelligence and cloud services called Amazon Web Services which I believe are stellar.
It is not an easy job to build an empire that not only paved a new path to the technological world but also provided jobs to millions of people across the world. Jeff Bezos has made this possible with his unwavering perseverance and dedication towards his goals. I admire him greatly and meeting him some day would be a dream come true for me.

1. What do you think should be the retirement age for men and women?
I think retirement age largely depends on the kind of occupation a person has. For instance, people in sports have a lower retirement age the need for physical strength is very high and there is a chance of being injured more when a sportsperson reaches a certain age. For desk jobs or others that do not demand as much physical strength, a retirement age of 60 would suffice.
2. What qualities do people need, to run their own business?
I believe perseverance, hard work and business management are the three most vital qualities one should have to be able to run their own business. In addition, they need good marketing and people skills to attract the public to buy their products or interested in their business to boost their revenue. They also need to have some strong leadership qualities to lead their team to profitable success.
3. What do you think are key factors that contribute to the success of a business?
There are many factors that decide the success of a business and it also depends on the kind of business. For instance, a café would need a great menu of drinks and food, good service and ambience to be able to attract customers and gain success. Other businesses like clothing, cosmetics need good quality products while being affordable to appeal to the average consumer.
4. If you had the opportunity to open your own business, what would it be and why?
I love restaurants and food. If I ever get a chance and have enough capital, I will open a small café or a restaurant of my own. I think it is a very profitable business and also it aligns with my interests. I will include a variety of cuisines including Chinese, Italian, Continental, among others.
