Describe a conversation topic you were not interested in
Well, I’ve always been a people’s person as I like to meet new people and interact with them.
However, there are some incidents when I got bored while having a conversation with people whom I don’t find interesting. Here I would like to talk about one such incident which happened 4 months back.
Actually, it was my best friend’s birthday 4 months ago and he invited me to his birthday party. It was a small gathering of around twenty people.
Initially, I enjoyed a lot at his birthday party but after some time his relatives called me to sit with them. The topic of conversation was the boredom they faced during COVID-19 lock down. They were sharing their views on the impact of lockdown on the economy as well as senior citizens. I tried to give my inputs but unfortunately, the conversation seemed to be endless. It was no doubt a significant topic but the main cause of my boredom was that I had enough of this topic for the last five months and was on the verge of frustration of having no other option but to listen and interact on it again.
I had my own share of woes but was unwilling to discuss it repeatedly as I desperately needed a break. This respite came in the form of an invitation to my friend’s birthday party. I anticipated it as a respite but it didn’t turn out to be so.
That conversation lasted for almost 2 hours and I was about to walk off but managed to keep my cool as I didn’t want to create a scene.
