Describe a friend who is a good leader
  • who this person is?

  • how do you know this person?

  • how this person behaves?

  • why do you think they are a good leader?

A leader is someone who is able to drive a group of individuals towards achieving a goal by supporting them constantly and taking everyone’s opinions into consideration to make an unbiased decision. A good leader has integrity, humility, and leads by setting an example to others.

I would like to talk about a person who is not only a good leader but also an inspiring individual. He is my friend David. I knew him since college, he is pretty gregarious and hard-working person I’ve ever known. He was the most brilliant student in my college. After graduation, we started working together for the same company. It is great working with him as he is ingenious with an eye to detail and laudable analytical skills. In addition, he is a very considerate and polite person and leads his team in a way that inspires everyone to work smarter. He is focused and gives everyone a chance to present their ideas to arrive at a better solution.

I think one of the qualities that makes him a great leader is his ability to motivate his team in times of difficulty. We often see people who yell at their teams when something goes wrong, but David is a composed person who does not like blaming anyone. He carefully interprets the situation and works incessantly with his team to diminish any kind of blocker they face. I admire his skills and wish to be like him someday.

I don’t think there is a gender disparity in making decision. It is just that men had taken most of the decisions for their family since years and others depend on them for many things. In today’s world, men and women have become equally independent and are capable of making important decisions for themselves.

3. Do you think that in future there will be more women leaders?

Although it is a bit difficult to say for certain what happens in the future, I believe there will be women in important positions in various fields given their enthusiasm to grow. This is a competitive world and there is growth for everyone who works hard to achieve their goals irrespective of their gender.

4. Should a leader discuss with team members when making decisions?
