The deteriorating state of environment demands some crucial changes to be made in the way of living as it could lead to dire consequences if not taken care of urgently. Over the decades, the government has passed many laws to stop further exploitation of the environment such as law against deforestation, making animal hunting punishable, banning harmful chemicals and so on. The most recent law that has been implemented to protect our ecology is anti-plastic law which contributes a significantly high proportion to the non-biodegradable waste.
Plastic usage has skyrocketed in recent times which although is convenient for daily use, it is a serious threat to the environment because of its effects on land harbouring disease carrying insects and animals that feed on plastic waste. To put a stop to this predicament, the government has banned the use of plastic bags in 2016 encouraging people to opt for bags made of eco-friendly materials. This has marked the entry of jute, cloth and paper bags which are non-toxic and degradable when thrown away allowing a part of the environment to be toxic free.
This resulted in a substantial decline in plastic waste that is in favour of public interest along with the environment. This law eradicated plastic waste to an extent compelling the public to be more aware and conserve the environment. It also encourages recycling which further cuts down on production cost of other items which are used to replace plastic. I think it is a remarkable move by the government and I feel if more such laws coming into force, we could collectively beat all environmental problems and make the world a safer place for the younger generations.

I believe usage of mobile phones while driving leads to some serious accidents.
