I have experienced many unforgettable moments in my life that have become milestones to cherish all my life. By far, the most significant one was when I received my drivers’ license. That was a momentous day because I wanted to drive on my own and go on a solo trip to at least one city from each state in India. The benefits that I received from it still exist today. Just knowing that I finally had a driver's license made me feel as free as a bird.
I have an undying love for cars and driving and in order to tick off all the things on my bucket list, I needed a driving license. My father stepped up and offered to teach me how to drive. I was completely engrossed and learned everything quickly and signed up for the driving test. I showed up early the day of the test and passed it with flying colours. Just a few days later, I received my license through mail and I was in a state of amazement. I immediately knew it would only take a few days to set out on my adventure.
On the same day, I took my father’s car out for a quick drive around my hometown, and I did not go back home until late at night. It was a tremendous feeling to drive all alone and sitting in the driver’s seat just made the experience so much better. I am glad I got my license when I did as it helped me drive to many places I wanted to visit. A few days later, I did start my journey and visited a few places near my hometown and I have not stopped since.
