In the winter of 2019, after a lot of planning my family decided to go on a trip to Goa situated in the southern part of India. It is one of the places where I had an amazing time when I visited for the first time about five years ago. A whirlwind trip to a scenic seaside location was an interesting and unique experience. We stayed for four days and the experience was astonishing.
On the first day, we went scuba diving and parasailing which were intrepid activities. We explored underwater life as part of our scuba diving activity and shot videos of fish and plants. I do not know how to swim but our instructor was helpful and helped me throughout the activity to make me feel comfortable. We explored the city and visited hidden beaches and markets for the rest of the days. In the town, there were many street markets, colorful houses, and cafes that mimicked Victorian-style structures. By the end of our trip, we left the place with a feeling of contentment as we had the most fun together after a long time.
It was a hectic year, considering our tight work schedules. We needed a break and I am glad we found the right location. This trip was one of the most memorable ones as all of us fell in love with the picturesque view of Goa. There were a few things I missed out on that I would have loved to do if I had more time. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful time, especially on our beach activities.

Part 3 Follow Up - Questions & Answers
1. What are some popular attractions that people like to visit in your country?
The Taj Mahal, Agra, the Holy City of Varanasi, the Golden Temple of Amritsar, the Red Fort at New Delhi, the Gateway of India at Mumbai are some of the most popular tourist attractions in my country.
2. Do old people and young people like to go to different places for vacation?
While people of all ages love any opportunity to break free from work, it appears that different generations have their own preferences, and what they want to do with their time off. In fact, millennials are more into scoping out new cities and hanging out with their friends and families than some of the other generations, while teens want to seek out some high-adrenaline adventures. Then again, most of the older travelers want to just sit on a beach. Based on their mindsets, I feel each generation makes their plans for their vacations.
3. What do old people and young people think about when making travel plans?
Older travelers are typically willing to spend more to avoid hassles and inconvenience. For example, they’ll pay extra for direct flights; pay for a later flight departure so they don’t have to leave home before sunrise or upgrade to premium economy seats for more comfort and priority boarding. Older travelers are more likely to insure their trips, too whereas for the youngsters, the main priority is adventure and fun. Even if they have to compromise a bit for added fun, they are willing to go that extra mile.
4. How do people get to know about new places?
Connecting with people on social media, learning from YouTube, joining travel themed forums and reading travel blogs are in my perspective some of the most common ways to learn about new places.
