Describe a special cake you received from others
Celebrations in my home are always filled with various kinds of cakes such as cupcakes, muffins, and pastries. My birthday falls in December, the month of Christmas; so naturally celebrations are doubled. I make a note to go home for my birthday every year no matter where I am so I can spend time with my family during the festive month. I would like to speak about one such birthday party where I received a marvellous homemade cake.
Last year, my birthday was extra special as I got a new job and my family surprised me with a huge party and my favourite fruit cake. I love fruit cake as it is filled with some of my favourite fruits like pineapple and strawberries. Our home was filled with decorations and some of my close friends were there to wish and congratulate me. I felt so flabbergasted seeing them all.
The cake was extra special to me as this time, my parents baked it all on their own instead of ordering it from a bakery. I never expected that they would do it all from scratch because they never did much baking. It was filled with fruits and dry fruits and delicious icing within each layer. It was the first time they did that, and the cake was delectable.
In addition, my friends also brought a cake with them that had lots of chocolate toppings. It was like a double bonanza of cakes, and we all had so much fun eating them and playing games all night. I would like to bake something similar to that cake by giving it my own twist. Anyway, I have to say, it was an indelible event and the best cake I have ever had so far.
