  • explain why were you excited?

I am a kind of person who gets excited for little things in life such as getting an ice cream after several days of dieting. Amidst these little joys, I was the most excited, when I visited to Goa with my friends. It was the most awaited trip and I have to say it is a dream come true moment for me when we finally landed there. Ever since I was pursuing my graduation, I wanted to go on a vacation for a few days to Goa but my plans were impeded multiple times.

I was disheartened with it being cancelled on several occasions, until my friends surprised me by booking tickets and hotel stay for a five-day vacation last year. It was totally unplanned as they made reservations, just after I casually mentioned about how I was left dispirited with crashed vacation plans. Initially I thought they were playing a prank on me but when I saw the tickets, I went speechless. I could not believe that finally I am going to visit my dream place.

Anyway, I finally visited Goa's exotic beaches and famous restaurants with my friends. Out of all beaches, butterfly beach is my favourite, to reach it you can hop on a ferry from Palolem or Agonda beaches as this beautiful and semi-circled beach is not approachable by any other means. It was a memorable ride through the rocky mountains and on the way we came across dolphins, sharks and turtles.

I was mesmerized by the beauty of the city. Goa is split into two parts, one is north goa and the other is south goa. We stayed 3 days in north goa and covered all the beaches and later visited south goa. On last day we all went to Deltin Royale Casino and it was totally a new experience for me because I never visited a casino before. Later, we went to experience scuba diving, parasailing and jet ski in Bhaga beach.

It was one of the best trips I had went on which gave me a memorable experience and excitement. I am planning to go to Goa again with my friends next month. I can surely say that we are going to have double the amount of fun we had last time.

Part 3 Follow Up - Questions & Answers

1. Which personal events do people usually celebrate?

People customarily celebrate events like birthdays, engagement and wedding anniversaries and also, days that mark a significant achievement. For instance, I celebrated when I topped in school and when I got my first job as they were outstanding achievements that made me and my family feel proud.

2. How do people celebrate their personal events?

Some people like to gift something to their family and have a nice dinner with them while others like to go out for drinks with their friends to celebrate notable events. Personally, I like to invite some of my close friends to my home, cut a cake and treat them to delicious food while playing some music to dance to and enjoy.

3. How much time people need to prepare for celebrations?

With the fast-paced life we are living in recent times, I think people spend only a few hours to prepare for celebrations like birthdays and anniversaries. However, weddings are the most time consuming as they are considered a huge function in India and people typically spend at least a month’s time preparing for it.

4. Do you think it is necessary to spend some money on celebrations?

Celebrations are a way of sharing happiness with others that may include spending some money. Ultimately, it’s the time spent with family and friends that matters and not the amount of money spent. So, I think money isn’t an absolute necessity to celebrate something but often times celebrations do include spending money.
