Describe a time you visited a new place
  • Where the new place is?

  • When you went there?

  • Why you went there?

  • And explain how you feel about the place

I often watch travel diaries of people who travel a lot on social media and shows that cover exotic locations around the world. I add some of those locations to my bucket list which eventually I would visit. One such place that was on my list for a long time was Seoul, the capital city of South Korea.

Last year, my friend Suzy and I went on a two weeklong vacation to Seoul, and it was an absolute blast for us. We both are fans of Korean dramas and movies; so, some of the events conducted in the city for fans like us have been astonishing. This was one of the major purposes of our trip as we had been planning on meeting other fans for a long time.

It was also our destination for the stunning locations filled with cherry blossoms as we visited the place during springtime. Furthermore, the food that was offered in various restaurants was absolutely lip-smacking. It was an invigorating journey where I had a chance to meet some amazing people and taste delicious food. We had been there for two weeks, and we did not get bored even for an hour. I have to say, it is one of the most happening cities in the world.

I was extremely excited to see all the places that I had in mind, and it was so much better than I expected it to be. The people were kind and very respectable. The food was the best I have ever tasted, which made the experience merrier. I had a magnificent time exploring the city and I plan to visit it again soon.

Part 3 Follow Up - Questions & Answers

1. What measures should be taken to deal with damage on public facilities?

I think imposing strict rules should be done by officials. Some punishment in the form of fines, if rules are violated, should be in place so that people follow those rules more diligently. Furthermore, there should be awareness campaigns to educate people of social cleanliness and avoiding littering in public facilities.

2. What facilities do young people and old people like in your country?

The young like to enjoy facilities such as open theatres and gyms for recreational purposes whereas older people like visiting parks and facilities such as recreational centres where they can gather and spend some time. A lot of young and old people like going to libraries as well.

3. What is the difference between facilities in the countryside and the ones in the cities?

I would say the major difference between amenities available in the countryside and cities is the frequency of their availability. Furthermore, facilities in cities are quite expensive and could be out of budget for some people while countryside may have the same facilities for a lesser cost. Besides, cities have a lot of entertainment facilities which are absent in the countryside.
